Overview
The Standard Arabic Intensive Course (SAIC) is an intensive and a well structured, Arabic language course that is designed to teach Arabic in a non-Arabic speaking environment. It is for anyone who wishes to follow intensive language courses to upgrade their Arabic competency. The course is suitable for learners from a broad range of ages, and background in the Arabic language.
Emphasis is on conversation, with a lot of reading and writing. Learn basic communication skills in different contexts and Arabic grammar, the alphabet, Arabic script, the Arabic phonetic system, and basic information about Arabic culture and customs.
Level 1 Elementary (Madinah Arabic Book 1)
The course is aimed at complete beginners and is designed to enable learners to communicate in Standard Arabic within a limited range of everyday situations using the four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. The course introduces the students to the Arabic writing systems and enables them to read and write basic words and sentences. Standard Arabic is the recognized means of formal spoken and written communication. It is used throughout the Arabic speaking world on official occasions, in education and the media. The course is taught in Arabic using contemporary printed, and audio materials.
Level 2 Intermediate (Madinah Arabic Book 2)
This course is for students who have completed the Elementary level course or its equivalent. It aims to improve the skills acquired on the Arabic Elementary course or similar courses. To develop communicative skills in a wide range of contexts enabling the student to effectively interact in formal situations where Standard Arabic would be spoken. At the end of the course students will be able to express themselves in Arabic a wide range of sentences structure and phrases; and understand a range of spoken Arabic beyond common courtesy or survival requirements.
Level 3 Advance (Madinah Arabic Book 3)
This course is aimed at students who completed the intermediate level course or its equivalent. The course aims to reinforce the skill of communicating in Standard Arabic acquired on the Intermediate course or similar courses. At the end of the course students should be able to understand meaning from written and spoken context; initiate and sustain conversations on a variety of topics; and be familiar with the difference between formal ad spoken Arabic.
